Welcome to Central Medical Oamaru.

We pride ourselves on our warm, welcoming atmosphere, and wide range of services to support the health of local families and individuals. The waiting area also has its own small room for children to play in.

We are proud to be the only practice in Oamaru with Cornerstone Accreditation. This mark of excellence is awarded by The Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners and runs on a 4 year cycle, for which we have just recently been re-accredited, for the 3rd consecutive time.

Appointments are available between 9:00am until 5pm everyday with ample parking around the building.

Central Medical is currently taking on new patients, so just come in and speak to one of our receptionists.

Please note that controlled drugs such as Morphines, Methylphenidate, Benzodiazepines will not be prescribed to any casual patients unless we can contact your previous GP.

For new patients we must receive and review you past GP’s notes or be in contact with your previous GP before any drugs of abuse potential will be prescribed.
