I trained in Liverpool (UK), completing my GP training in Kidderminster. I travelled to NZ and Australia for a working holiday with my wife in 1990. We returned to the UK where I studied and gained my diploma in Obs and Gynae. We came back to NZ, with our 3 young children, initially in Palmerston North and have been practicing in Oamaru since 1995 . I sat the Fellowship of General Practice in 2004. I have a special interest in Paediatrics, Family Planning and Obstetrics and Gynaecology. I also enjoy Minor Surgery. My hobbies include Musical Theatre in Oamaru and Marathons, especially mountain running.

I studied medicine at Otago University and graduated in 2014. Before coming to Central Medical, I worked in Dunedin Hospital in various departments and I enjoy all aspects of medicine. I have moved back to Oamaru with my husband, Jamie, and our two children and we are planning to stay here long term. In my spare time, I enjoy swimming, gardening, walking and hanging out with family. I believe the doctor-patient relationship is a very important part of healthcare.

II am originally from The Netherlands and arrived in Oamaru with my husband and our two cats in January 2020. We intent to stay here permanently and I look forward to building good patient-doctor relationships with my patients. Before starting my GP training, I worked in a hospital in Holland at the cardiology and respiratory wards. My special interests are the elderly and palliative care, but I also love working with children. In my spare time I like to travel, drive 4WD tracks and I enjoy painting and drawing.

I graduated from the University of Otago Medical School in 2015 and after working in Dunedin Hospital for 3 years, I made the best decision to pursue training in General Practice. After being away for 9 years, it has been fantastic moving back to Oamaru with my wife Ashleigh and our two daughters. My interests in general practice are expansive with an ongoing need for evidence base medicine, which has included additional study in Postgraduate Certificate in Women’s Health and Postgraduate Diploma in Child Health. My interests outside of work include singing and musical theatre, pop culture movies, and hockey.
